After the closing session of the diocesan enquiry held in Zagreb (Croatia) on Friday 28 March at 10:00 a.m., I had the joy of personally handing over to the Dicastery for the Causes of Saints the Acts of the process relative to the diocesan phase of the Cause of Beatification of the Servant of God Janez Strašek, C.M.
With the delivery of the Acts, the official request for their opening was also immediately presented. This marks the beginning of a new stage in the process: the verification of the juridical validity, the assignment of a Rapporteur and, subsequently, the drafting of the ‘Positio’, the official document that will systematically and arguably gather together all the elements supporting the cause. The ‘Positio’ will later be examined by theologians and historians for in-depth discernment.

Thou hast crowned his life and works with heroic faith unto death. We ask you to venerate him soon in the Church and to commend us even more in our needs.
