“The Little Company in this change of era: what must we be and do?”

From June 19 to July 7, 2028.
Salamanca, Spain

Assembly Prayer

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided by you. Inspired by this confidence, I too turn to you, O Mother, Virgin of virgins, and though groaning under the weight of my sins,
I dare to appear before your sovereign presence. Do not reject my humble petitions, O Mother of the Divine Word, but rather hear them and receive them kindly.

Amen.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often is the General Assembly held?

The Ordinary General Assembly is normally held every six years. (Extraordinary assemblies may also take place if the Superior General deems it appropriate).

Participants by office include the Superior General, the Vicar General, the Assistants General, the Secretary General, the Treasurer General, and the Procurator General to the Holy See, as well as the Visitors of each province. In addition, elected delegates from the Provincial Assemblies participate (one delegate for the first 100 missionaries with active voice in a province, and one additional for every 75 thereafter).

Through a rigorous voting system. To be elected in the first four ballots, a two-thirds majority is required. If there is still no winner, a sixth ballot is held only between the two candidates with the most votes, where a relative majority is sufficient.
