Tomaž Mavrič, CM, invited us all, as “members of the Congregation, to embark with hope on this new stage of our journey towards Jesus”, encouraging us to let the Spirit “be upon us” in the process of revitalising the spirit of Jesus in our Little Company. And the paradigm for this could only be to return to the Gospel, so that we may find in it the strength to rekindle the spirit of prophecy and synodality for mission.

Synodality raises the theme of the relationship between memory, witness, and prophecy as keys to the Church’s self-understanding. In fact, as a living memory of the Gospel, the Church is a witness to the love of the Father who reveals himself in Jesus Christ and acts through the dynamism of the Spirit.

We are living a particularly intense and fruitful time in the Church since Pope Francis called us to walk the path of Synodality. It is a time of revision of life, prayerful discernment, and profound revitalization, which places us in the framework of the Second Vatican Council. This is with a view to stimulating and consolidating communion, participation, and mission among all those who form the People of God, called to live and bear witness to the faith received in Baptism in order to collaborate in building a world that reflects the values of the Kingdom.
