On the solemnity of Saint Vincent de Paul, father and inspirer of our charism, the Superior General addresses the Vincentian Family with a letter that calls us to preserve and communicate the spiritual heritage of the Founder.
Saint Vincent is presented as a man of active hope, capable of allowing himself to be questioned by the face of Christ in the poor and responding with concrete gestures of love. Today, his message invites us to boldly inhabit the languages of our time – from the spoken word to social networks – to bear witness to the charity that renews the world.
The letter exhorts us to live the charism faithfully, uniting faith and action, contemplation and service, so that we may be, in our time, hands that serve and hearts that love.
