Who We Are
The Congregation of the Mission NGO at the United Nations represents the entire Congregation at the United Nations, engaging in high-level international advocacy focused on policies, systems, and structures that advance social justice for the poor, the marginalized, and people at risk.
As part of systemic change initiatives, it achieved NGO accreditation with the UN Economic and Social Council in 2017 and is also accredited by the UN Department of Global Communications. It actively participates in various UN NGO committees, including those on Social Development, Migration, Finance for Development, Indigenous Peoples, and Homelessness.
Goals and Priorities
The CM NGO at the UN aims to strengthen strategic collaboration with Vincentian Family groups, CM provinces, religious institutions, NGOs, and civil society organizations to achieve greater impact in its high-level advocacy that contributes to the lives of the poor and disadvantaged.
Networks and Collaborations
Currently, CM NGO at the UN collaborates with like-minded groups to amplify its voice.
As a religious NGO at the UN, we are part of the Religious at the United Nations (RUN), a group of Catholic organizations with a presence at the UN and its advocacy arm, the Justice Coalition of Religious (JCoR).
We are an active member of the following key organizations at the UN:

- UN NGO Committee on Finance for Development
- NGO Working Committee on Homelessness

CM International Network for Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation
(CM-IN-JPIC)
Who We Are
This network consists of members of the Congregation of the Mission and their partners dedicated to social justice, peace, and environmental integrity. They advocate for the poor, disadvantaged, and marginalized communities they serve.
Their locations across various regions where the Congregation of the Mission operates allow them to coordinate and collaborate effectively, highlighting local realities to foster structural change for those on the margins.
Goals and Priorities
The CM IN JPIC aims to strengthen the awareness, skills, and capacity of members of the Congregation of the Mission and their collaborators to advocate for social justice, peace, and care for the environment. Organizing training sessions, seminars, and talks on advocacy for social justice, peace, and care for the environment is a priority for the coming years.

St. Vincent de Paul
Where does it take place?
The venue for these meetings is the Mother House of the Congregation of the Mission in Paris. While not the original St. Lazare, it is the most historically significant site with the strongest link to the life and ministry of St. Vincent and the Congregation. The body of St. Vincent de Paul (1581–1660) rests in the main chapel. Moreover, from this location it is easy to visit other Vincentian Family sites in Paris and in France.
What is its content?
The program has remained essentially faithful to its principles and is fundamentally:
1. A reflection on the biography of St. Vincent de Paul and the history of the Vincentian Family.
2. The study of the different aspects of Moral Theology and Spirituality derived from Vincentianism.
3. The inclusion of practical and current issues of Vincentian ministry.
4. The effort to find solutions to the problems that affect the poor today.
We believe that these four points should go together. At each meeting we reflect on our vocation, life and ministry. Each theme is generally presented by a speaker. Thanks to simultaneous translation, groups speaking English, Spanish and French can coexist. Occasionally, CIF can also be conducted for people who speak other languages. The ultimate goal is to enrich our vocation as Vincentian missionaries.
Who directs it?
