Msgr. Janez Frančišek Gnidovec, C.M.
On March 27, 2010, the Holy Father authorized the promulgation of the Decree on the heroic virtues of Janez Frančišek Gnidovec. A miracle occurred through his intercession in 1980 and was presented to the Congregation of Saints in 2006 which will soon be examined.
Jean-Léon Le Prevost
Born in 1803, he was one of the first members of the Conferences of St. Vincent de Paul, inspired by Sister Rosalie Rendu. He founded the Congregation of the Religious of St. Vincent de Paul, maintaining a strong link with Vincentian spirituality. He was recognized for the heroism of his virtues in 1998.
Sr. Anna Cantalupo, D.C.
Born in Naples in 1888, she showed a strong religious inclination at the end of her youth, and at 14 years of age she took the vow of virginity. She dedicated her life to the service of the poor and the needy, founding the “Casa della Carità” in Catania, where she organized educational and assistance initiatives. The Holy Father said in 2023 that she practiced virtue to an erotic degree.
Sr. Gabriella Borgarino
Born in Naples in 1888, she showed a strong religious inclination from a young age and, at the age of 14, she took the vow of virginity. She dedicated her life to the service of the poor and sick, founding the “House of Charity” in Catania, where she organized educational and welfare initiatives. The Holy Father declared that she practiced the virtues in a heroic way in 2023.
Mother Justa Domínguez De Vidaurreta, D.C.
Born in 1880, she was Visitatrix of the Madrid Province of the Daughters of Charity. Renowned for her spirituality, she formed many sisters and promoted missionary openness. She was declared Venerable in 2018 upon recognition of the heroic nature of her virtues. Currently, a presumed miracle that occurred in 1972 in Puerto Rico is under study for her beatification.
