Saint Vincent de Paul
Founder of the Congregation of the Mission and the Daughters of Charity together with St. Louise de Marillac, he dedicated his life to the service of the poor and the formation of the clergy. He was born in 1581 in Pouy, France and died in Paris in 1660. He was canonized in 1737 and proclaimed Patron of Charity by Leo XIII.
Saint Agostina Pietrantoni
A nurse at the Santo Spirito Hospital in Rome, she devoted herself to tuberculosis patients with great charity. She was killed by one of the patients in 1894. Beatified in 1972 and canonized in 1999, she is remembered for her tireless service to the poor and suffering. Her liturgical memorial is November 13.
