The highlight of this period is the World Meeting of the Vincentian Family in Rome, where members from all over the world gathered to discuss the theme ‘Keeping the fire burning: Vincentian synodality in action’. Superior General Fr. Tomaž Mavrič, CM, emphasised our continuing challenge to respond promptly to the needs of people in the 160 nations where we serve.
This edition also presents an extensive account of the international meeting of the Provincial Directors of the Daughters of Charity in Paris, the first such gathering in 12 years. The meeting brought together 45 brothers from around the world, focusing on animation and accompaniment in hope.
Of particular interest is the extensive coverage of the various ordinations and celebrations in our provinces, including Nigeria, Mozambique and Madagascar, which demonstrate the continued growth and vitality of our Congregation.
As we approach the 400th anniversary of the Congregation of the Mission, this edition of Nuntia serves both as a chronicle of our present works and as a reminder of our enduring mission to serve Jesus Christ in the poor, following in the footsteps of St. Vincent de Paul.
